Third State of the Nation Address

PNOY’s SONA

State of the Nation Address (SONA) of the President Benigno Aquino III was on July 23, 2012, Monday. The President delivered his SONA very well. The SONA was very comprehensive and it tackled all aspects of his governance. The SONA includes the things that have been done and what will be done by the president. It also a part report card and part marching orders. However, the thing to do now is not to acclaim the achievements but to consider the challenges. Our journey along the “Tuwid na Daan” which the president told us has been fruitful so far and there are miles to go before we can rest. In the SONA, he failed to mention all what other people would want to hear but we must remember that it would be impossible to cram all solutions to our problems in just one speech. The Scarborough shoal or panatag shoal was also included on the President’s SONA. We must fight for our right because it belongs to our territory. Even though there are some who are not contented on the speech delivered by the President, but still, we know that there is some of our countryman who is happy with what President Benigno Aquino III laid down. In the past SONA of the president, for me, the most realistic speech was the latest, the third SONA.

“Healthy vegetables make it our protectors”

“Healthy vegetables make it our protectors”
Health is a basic human right. The most important reason why we have to act now on the worsening solid waste problem is their impact on human health. Everyone deserves to live in a clean environment.
In order to live, people need a certain amount of quality air, water, food and shelter. Once deprived of any environmental factors or if factors in the environment are toxic, people’s health and lives are badly affected. Anyone who has experienced difficulty in breathing smoke-filled, dusty, smoggy air realizes the unhealthy effect of polluted air. Anyone becomes sick from eating contaminated or water knows the importance of sanitary food handling and preparation in maintaining good health.

letter to the president

To our Dearest President,
Before anything else, I would like to greet you a very nice day Sir!!!
I wrote a letter to you because we have a problem in our town and we couldn’t solve it by ourselves. So, I decided to wrote a letter to you because I know that you will help us to solve this problem. When there are typhoons, our beach is coming closer and we are afraid if it reaches the houses near it. The residents near it might lost their houses or even worst. We are hoping this problem will be solved.
                Thank You Sir!! God bless.

                                                                                                                       Yours Truly,
                                                                                                                        Khristy Martinez
